Risk Disclosure
Cryptoassets can go to zero. Read this page before you use OW Wallet. It does not list every risk, and it is not advice.
1. Price volatility
Cryptoasset prices move quickly and can gap. A balance shown in the app is an estimate from public market data. It can be stale. Past prices do not predict later prices.
2. Self-custody and a lost recovery phrase
You hold the keys. The recovery phrase is the backup. If you lose it, and you lose the device, nobody at Cevtar can recreate the wallet. If someone else reads the phrase, they can move the assets. Write the phrase down offline. Do not screenshot it, and do not email it.
A PIN or biometrics only opens the copy of the keys on that device. It is not a backup.
3. Third-party protocols
Swaps, perpetuals, prediction markets, and lending are run by other people. You sign a transaction to their contracts from your wallet. They can pause, change rules, fail to fill, or be exploited. We do not operate those systems and we do not insure them.
Card purchases and sales are provided by MoonPay or Transak. They can refuse you, delay settlement, or require identity documents under their own terms.
4. Perpetual contracts and leverage
A perpetual contract uses margin. If the market moves against the position, the venue can liquidate it and you can lose the margin. Funding payments can reduce a position even when the price does not move. Leverage increases both gains and losses. You should assume you can lose the entire margin.
5. Prediction markets
A prediction contract pays only if the stated outcome occurs, under that market’s own rules. The other outcome can expire at zero. Resolution can be disputed, delayed, or decided by a source you do not control. A displayed probability is a market price, not a forecast from us.
6. Smart-contract risk
Contracts can contain defects. An approval you sign can let another contract move a token later. Bridges and routers add more contracts to the path. A transaction you confirm cannot be recalled. Read the recipient and the amount on the device before you sign.
7. No investment advice
Cevtar does not recommend any asset, market, or strategy. Nothing in the app is an offer or a solicitation. Tax treatment depends on your own circumstances. If you need advice, hire a qualified adviser.
8. Availability and regions
Features can be switched off by remote config, by a venue’s own geoblock, or by law. The app is not offered in the United States or mainland China. Card ramps are not offered in the United Kingdom. A feature that is visible in a build may still refuse an order.
